Where healthy sleep habits begin

The early weeks with a newborn are beautiful, emotional, and often overwhelming. Questions come up between appointments, routines change daily, and even the most prepared parents can feel unsure.

Our newborn services combine hands-on guidance, responsive messaging support, and clinical expertise to help families navigate the fourth trimester with confidence.

Uniquely developed to suit your child

Led by neonatal nurse practitioner Tatiana McGee, families receive calm, practical support around feeding, sleep, settling, and everyday newborn care, all tailored to their baby and home environment.

Rather than rigid rules or one-size-fits-all advice, our focus is on helping parents understand their baby, establish healthy rhythms, and build confidence during the first 12 weeks.

Reading and swaddling give our babies space to wind down and teach them what’s coming next.

When bedtime becomes a predictable, repeated sequence of events, your baby begins to recognise, sleep is near. That’s where healthy patterns start- linking cycles, learning to settle, and feeling safe enough to rest. The key is consistency.

Every evening, the same gentle steps.
That’s what lays the foundation for truly restorative sleep. 🤍

If your little one sleeps like a dream at night but struggles with daytime naps, you’re not alone! Many parents face this challenge and the good news is, it can improve with the right support.

Establishing an age-appropriate, predictable daytime routine with consistent nap times helps set your baby’s body clock, so they begin to feel naturally ready to sleep at the same time each day. ⏰

With a consistent sleep environment, gentle settling approach, and the right amount of sleep pressure, your baby can learn to connect sleep cycles and enjoy longer, more restorative naps. 😍

It often takes 5–7 days of consistent nap training to start seeing real progress, and sometimes 2–3 weeks for full nap consolidation. It’s a process, but it’s so worth it.

Swipe across to dive deeper into the four key reasons behind this common issue:
1. Sleep hormones
2. Sleep pressure
3. Over-tiredness
4. Environmental disruptors

✨ Consistency and predictability are key. Babies thrive on it, especially during the day.

Is your little one depending on specific sleep associations like cuddling, rocking, or feeding to drift off? While these things can be comforting, they may make it harder for your baby to learn to fall asleep independently, once over 4 months. AND, stay asleep!

Here are some reminders for phasing out sleep associations that will in turn create healthy sleep habits:

💚 Be patient and consistent: Teaching our little ones to fall asleep independently takes time. Consistency and patience are key as your baby learns to adapt.

💚 If you haven’t already, include a relaxing sleep ritual. Replace old settling ways with some new positive associations and a predictable sequence of events to help your baby wind down and set the scene.

💚 Stay calm: Your baby will feed off your energy so stay as calm, cool and collected as you can as this will help support your baby as you navigate through this transition together.

And remember, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it! 🌟💤

Please reach out if you have any questions on this, we would be happy to help!
